Our businesses are organised around our customers’ core needs across vehicle solutions, remarketing, funding, and retail. The Group Marketing Department is a shared services function supporting all Cox Automotive UK and Europe solution areas and brands.
The function is responsible for crafting and managing the brands’ strategic marketing plan to deliver on the strategic, brand and product priorities of the business.
Marketing supports the Cox Automotive business in the following areas:
- Marketing business partners for the businesses, brands and solutions groups – using knowledge and insight into our customers and their needs in order to ensure the businesses are delivering to those needs through our brands, products and services
- Communications – creating the content, messaging and ensuring it is consistent and joined up across the business. Aligning that messaging to our customers, the industry, the media, our stakeholders and the business world as well as internally with our team members
- Channels – managing the channels (shared, earned, owned and paid) through which we communicate about our brands, products and services
- Creative execution and delivery through our in-house creative team
Role:
The Social Media Manager will have a a close working relationship with our Head of Digital, Head of Marketing and Marketing Managers, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing our full portfolio of social media accounts.
They will be responsible for defining and delivering our organic and paid social media strategy for all Cox Automotive brands in the UK and Europe and where appropriate, meeting commercial ROI targets from social activity.
This role is responsible for owning the social content planner and scheduler and for the creation and ownership of rights-free content using market-leading platforms e.g, cinebody.
Responsibilities will include social content strategy and scheduling, social media copywriting, graphic and visual design/specification, follower and community engagement, in-app and social/app-lilnked campaigns, tactical planning and delivery, data analysis and interpretation and budgeting. They will also proactively review and recommend appropriate channels and platforms to the marketing team.
They will also be responsible for researching current benchmark trends and audience preferences, setting specific brand/channel/campaign objectives and reporting on ROI.
They will naturally to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends, and will have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively.
They will also support our insight, leadership team and sales teams with coaching and best practice guidance.
Skills:
- Demonstrable experience and success as a Social Media Manager for/with B2B brands in UK and Europe or globally
- Experience of working in a busy and diverse marketing function
- Outstanding creative copy-writing skills
- Ability to create and curate creative multi-media content (text, image and video)
- Experience of planning and managing social advertising campaigns
- Budget management experience
- Excellent knowledge of social media analytics, SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics along with relevant social platforms, eg hootsuite, khoros, GMP, appflyer, teamup etc
- Experience of managing multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously, and an ability/desire to work collaboratively, both internally & externally
- Understanding of the automotive sector is desirable
- Experience of managing social media activities in multiple countries and/or languages is desirable
- Ability to influence channel decisions using actionable insight
- Clearly evidenced mature thinking and ability to discern appropriate style and TOV for content
- You will be a self-starter who brings individual skill, creativity and tenacity coupled with a personality that aligns to Cox Automotive values and culture
