The Release Manager role sits within the Enterprise Technology Business Unit, which provisions Technology services to all Cox UK Businesses and to some elements of the Cox Automotive International Business. 

The Enterprise Technology Business Unit was formed in Quarter 4 of 2018, with a number of key objectives covering the delivery of enterprise wide services on behalf of the Business Units that make up Cox Automotive UK (Manheim, Retail Solutions, Next Gear Capital and Dealer Auction).  

The key services provisioned span architecture, design, development, programme and project delivery, data solutions, security, service and operations.

Role:

The Release Manager is responsible for providing full lifecycle engagement and support to internal colleagues and suppliers to ensure that all release activity is impact assessed, scheduled, monitored and released efficiently and effectively on the basis of ‘no surprises’ – ensuring that all colleagues involved in delivering releases are engaged and supported throughout, and balancing delivery at pace with appropriate assurance. 

You will take ownership of the complete Release Management lifecycle, which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases in the organisation for multiple applications across the portfolio. 

The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, standard changes, hotfixes, defects, projects and programmes.

  • Proven commercial experience and time in the role as a Release Manager
