Department:
The Portfolio and Change Management Team are currently part of Enterprise Technology and manage the Portfolio Roadmap for all Business Change [including business, product and technology initiatives].
The Portfolio and Change Management Team enable transformational programme and project change, from concept through to operationalisation and benefit realisation. The Change Portfolio consists of many initiatives of varying nature, scale and complexity often with an impact on the Enterprise Operating Model. Change initiatives are primarily focussed on enabling strategy and realising value through a combination of people, process and technology change, with measurable outcomes.
Role:
The Cloud Transformation Programme Manager will shape and deliver a key, complex programme of work that will impact the success of key Cox Automotive business priorities. Accountable to the programme Executive Sponsorship, the Programme Manager will drive a cross-functional business, product and technology team to commit and deliver the expected outcomes whilst effectively managing risk and decision-making through appropriate governance.
General
- Being responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting on activities related to the programme or project
- Leading the programme or project teams in determining business requirements and translating requirements into operational plans
- Monitor and review all programme or project economics, including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources and risk
- Reviewing quality of direct report’s project delivery at all stages through the project lifecycle, ensuring best practice has been adhered to
- Working with senior people responsible for the live business operation ensuring maximum improvements are made in the business operations as projects deliver their products
- Maintaining the business case for funding the programme and confirming the continuing business viability of the programme or project at regular intervals
- Co-ordinating & leading the activities around Design, discovery, build, integration & consolidation and delivery of all the core / Legacy business systems from physical infrastructure to Cloud (Azure/AWS)
- Co-ordinating Technical reviews and assessments, cloud strategy, cloud architectures, cloud roadmaps, cloud solution design, and related sourcing activities
- Co-ordinating & managing any migrations to public cloud including infrastructure sizing and costing
Delivering Outcomes
- Drive outcomes and success across multiple workstreams through the delivery cycle
- Responsible for management of key programme control points throughout the delivery:
- Scope
- Plan / Timeline
- Resourcing
- Budget
- Decision making and approvals
- Stage Gates
- Risk/issue management
- Ensure the changes land effectively in the organisation through communication, engagement, training and change networks
- Ensure programme reporting has appropriate focus on value and benefits realisation
- Support, question and challenge the programme team on key decisions and milestones
- Design and implement strategies to ensure the programme team remains aligned on interdependencies, scope, objectives, interdependencies & decision-making authority
- Establish governance necessary for scale of programme – including steering, design authorities and programme delivery meetings
Stakeholders & Relationships
- Develop relationships with stakeholders to drive & influence strategic decision-making at a senior level
- Build positive relationships with suppliers & external stakeholders to deliver software or professional services, holding them to account on delivery and improvement plans
- Support vendor selection processes (tendering, agreeing SLAs, warranty periods, outsourcing)
- Working closely with Enterprise architecture, product, strategy, business leadership, change management, product & platform engineering, service teams and corporate functions
Skills:
- Experience in Cloud Transformation & Transition (Azure & AWS) in both enterprise scale organisations as well as SME (M&A Integrations etc)
- Strong 3rd Party / Vendor engagement & delivery experience
- Experience of legacy Systems Integrations & Consolidations in Azure Cloud
- Able to lead and operate in an empowered agile culture & astute in engagement with Vendors / 3rdSuppliers
- Strong character, operate with integrity & influence
- Pragmatic approach & ability to navigate the grey and operate at pace Flexible and adaptable with strong grounding in what good looks like
- Proven experience of managing large scale transformational business change initiatives – business process, operational and organisational change with Digital and Technology components
- Significant experience in a Programme Management role
